Overview of Your New Home Design / Build Process

At JEDA HOMES, the design and build process is all about personal attention and guidance through every step of the process. Building a new home can be overwhelming but it’s also very exciting. There are hundreds of details that must be attended to and all in a timely manner. While JEDA HOMES is building your new home, you also participate in the process. The list that follows will help educate you on the design/build process.

House Plan Selection and Pricing
We design by helping you find and select a home that meets your needs, style and budget. We have over 40 plans to choose from, or we can work with your own plans. All of our plans can be modified and designed to suite your needs. Our Design Specialist will help with modification and design ideals of your home. Once this is complete a Construction Agreement is executed.

Lot Selection
If you don’t already own your lot nor have one selected we can help you with this process. We can do all of the necessary research to help you find a lot in the area you wish to build in that will compliment your home’s style.

Applying For Your Loan
After the Construction Agreement and lot selection has been completed it’s time to apply for the construction loan. One of the most important aspects of ensuring a smooth buying process is selecting the right lender. If you do not have a lender we can help you with our list of preferred lenders.

Your New Home Color Selections
Our Design Specialist personally guides you through the selection of all your custom finishes in our design center. We allow you to personally select your colors of paint, brick, shingles, flooring, cabinets, countertops, interior doors, hardware and much more.

Pre-Construction Meeting
This meeting will be held at the construction lot to review to the Construction Agreement, plans, and placement of home on lot. This is when the home is passed from the sales department to the construction department.

Construction of Your Home
You will be kept informed and involved throughout the entire construction process. You will have the opportunity to meet with us at several stages of the construction process.

Pre-Settlement Meeting
When the home is near completion, a walk-through will be scheduled with you. At this walk-through we will document any minor adjustments that need to be made and also inform you about the closing process to ensure a smooth closing.

Closing Day
A final walk-through is scheduled on this day to ensure the home is completed to your satisfaction. A homeowner orientation also takes place. We walk you through the house so you can learn about the features in your new home. When the closing is complete, you will receive the keys to your brand new home!

Warranty
With the purchase of your new home, we provide you a one year limited warranty to ensure you that we will be there to service you if the need arises. On closing day, we will provide you a warranty booklet that has all of the necessary information concerning the warranty procedures and standard home maintenance to prepare you for home ownership.

From initial design ideas through construction and closing, JEDA HOMES’ personalized approach and open communication will result in a rewarding building experience for you and your family.
